‘Peace through Folk’ is an informal trust established in 1997

Our aim is :-

To celebrate peace, goodwill, friendship and reconciliation, through the
folk music traditions of the world and other related forms of performing arts.

Peace through Folk Key Objectives

 To organise  and other concerts, gatherings, performances, recordings, assets, support services and archives to enable the celebration of peace, goodwill, reconciliation and friendship through performing arts. See Events section

  To organise a special event to mark International Peace day around  21st September each year

 To assist and support similarly minded performers, artists, associated organisations and individuals and other folk clubs and festivals.

 To plan and deliver Peace Tent 14-18 - a five year mission commemorating the centenary of The Great War and celebrating peace and reconciliation.

 To evolve, plan and deliver other related projects.

 To acquire and maintain resources which will support artists and organisations celebrate peace, goodwill, reconciliation and friendship.

 To raise funds and maximise primary and secondary income streams.

 To operate within a positive financial framework and without the encumbrances of debt or dependency on external funding sources.
